There have been seasons in my life when giving up felt easier than moving forward. I’ve been physically, emotionally, and spiritually exhausted. I had an engineering degree, but at times no engineering job. I had a baby girl, but at times no steady income. I had big dreams, but life continued to hand me detours: rejection, layoffs, and days where the only thing I could count on was God and grit.

There was a moment I’ll never forget. I was delivering pizzas at night just to make ends meet, after working my day job at an engineering firm. I was educated. I was capable. I was tired.

So what did I do? I kept walking. What does that mean? It means head down, step by step, day by day doing the things that I knew I could do.

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”
Martin Luther King Jr.

For me, “Keep Walking” has become a personal mantra. It reminds me that moving forward is still progress, even if it’s slow, full of uncertain, and messiness.

To Keep Walking meant choosing to not give up, even when I couldn’t see what was ahead. It meant trusting that the path would reveal itself in motion and faith, not in stillness.

Not because I felt strong. Not because I knew the way. But because something inside of me, a whisper, a nudge, a Holy voice kept saying “You’re not done. Keep walking.”

Here’s What I Learned About Pushing Through

1. Purpose Isn’t Always Loud

Sometimes, we expect purpose to show up with bang, but more often, it whispers. It’s the gentle reminder that you’re still breathing, still capable, and still needed.

2. You Don’t Need the Whole Map—Just the Next Step

I didn’t know where the path would lead when I took that job at an oil refinery. Or when I went back to school. Or when I left a job that no longer aligned with my values. But each small step added up. And looking back, I can see that every detour shaped my direction.

3. Faith Is Fuel

Whether you call it faith, intuition, or divine guidance—when you’re tired, let it carry you. I compare it to a VR headset. You can’t always see the danger around you, but a voice tells you: “You’re safe. Just keep going.” That’s how God has moved in my life.

To the Woman Who’s Ready to Quit

If you’re standing at the edge of surrender, I see you.

I’ve been the woman crying in her car, unsure of what to do next. I’ve been the one doubting her worth, her direction, and her strength.

But let me tell you something I know for sure:

You are not stuck.
You are not alone.
And this moment is not the end of your story.

Keep walking.

Because the version of you on the other side of this moment?
She’s powerful. She’s clear. She’s ready.

And she’s waiting for you to meet her.
